Brief

There are times when using a celebrity to drive home a message makes perfect sense. Getting a celebrity who can share a life experience or story in an authentic way can make all the difference to the storytelling.

Strategy

To launch FreeStyle Libre in India – we looked around for someone who could endorse the brand in an authentic and inspiring way. Someone who could actually walk the talk and connect with people living with diabetes.

Gaurav Kapoor of IPL fame became our key influencer to talk about his journey as a diabetic and how he manages the highs and lows of his glucose levels whilst living his life out of a suitcase.

Execution

We got Gaurav to do a no holds barred story about how he discovered he had diabetes and how through the years he’s managed to be at the top of his game despite his condition. He used his twitter and Insta handles to invite his fans join him at the launch event where he spoke as a Panelists on what it means to be diabetic and how to manage it and stay in control.
